Conference “Dairy Sector: Ukraine – EU”ʼ
The Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine (SMPU) and the analytical agency Infagro invite interested milk producers and processors to take part in the conference “Dairy Sector: Ukraine – EU”, which will take place on June 3 in Kyiv (Park-Hotel Golosievo).
The event will feature discussions on the following key topics:
- Opportunities and challenges for Ukraine’s dairy sector.
- Trade: current state and future prospects.
- Steps toward the EU Common Market: new trade mechanisms and marketing standards.
- New standards of cooperation: contractual relations and rules for interbranch associations in Ukraine based on EU experience.
- Transformation of the dairy sector to meet higher standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Sustainable development along the production chain: balancing environmental goals with economic stability.
The organizers emphasize that European integration of Ukraine’s dairy sector is crucial for the future development of the industry and the country’s economy as a whole. Ukraine’s path to EU membership is inevitable, and the dairy sector must undergo a rapid transformation to align with EU requirements and become part of the Common Market.
A key milestone in this process will be the discussion during the event of the initiative to develop a Roadmap for the EU Integration of Ukraine’s Dairy Sector. This document is not merely a formality, but a strategic action plan that will help coordinate efforts between the business community and the government to adapt the sector to high EU standards in quality, food safety, veterinary control, environmental protection, and other essential areas. With proper coordination, chaotic changes can be avoided, and Ukrainian dairy products will become more competitive within the European Common Market.
This event is held with with the support of:
