
On 23 September 2025, Ukraine will mark Organic Day for the fourth time, joining European Union countries in this important milestone of the country’s European integration path. To mark the occasion, the annual conference “Organic Day in Ukraine” will take place, bringing together producers, processors, retailers, government representatives, and international partners. The event will be organised by the Organic Initiative Public Association with the support of Switzerland and the Government of Germany.
This event exemplifies the consistent implementation of the European Green Deal in the organic sector and highlights Ukraine’s commitment to integrating into the European common area.
The 2025 conference theme is “Domestic market as a Foundation for the Sustainable Development of the Organic Sector in Ukraine.” Discussions will focus on:
- overview of the current market situation,
- prospects for cooperation with retailers,
- available tools of state and international support,
- presentation of the best European practices on organic school meals in Germany and France,
- specifics of public procurement of organic products in EU countries.
A special session will address the challenges and opportunities for the organic sector in wartime conditions, including:
- market adaptation to new realities,
- involvement of veterans in organic entrepreneurship,
- prospects for recovery and strengthening of the sector in the post-war period.
The event will also feature the award ceremony for the “TOP 20 Organic Brands of Ukraine” rating, showcasing the dynamics of domestic market development and celebrating the achievements of industry leaders.

The conference will take place on 23 September 2025 from 10:00 to 16:00 (Kyiv time) in a hybrid format: in person in Kyiv (the exact address will be sent to the registered participants additionally) and online via ZOOM with simultaneous interpretation.

The conference “Organic Day in Ukraine” in 2025 will be organised by Organic Initiative Public Association under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sectors in Ukraine” (QFTP) implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland) and with support of Germany in the frame of the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Ukraine project (COA), which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH).
The partners of the event will be Lviv City Public Organization “Ecoterra”, Information Center “Green Dossier”, Organic Federation of Ukraine, and Biodynamic Association of Ukraine.
