The Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sectors in Ukraine”(QFTP) invites food business operators in the dairy market, representatives of relevant associations, experts, and other interested stakeholdersto participate in a public discussion of the draft Roadmap for EU Integration of the Dairy Sector of Ukraine (hereinafter – the Roadmap).
From February 16 to March 10, please review the document and submit your suggestions by completing the survey at the link. Please pay attention to the logic and structure of the Roadmap, the priority of the proposed tasks, the sequence of their implementation, and specific elements of the document.
All suggestions received will be systematized and taken into account during the finalization of the Roadmap.
The large-scale preparation of the Roadmap for EU Integration of the Dairy Sector of Ukraine lasted more than a year and involved 11 thematic groups.
The purpose of the Roadmap is to ensure the systematic integration of the Ukrainian dairy sector into the EU single market by establishing clear and stable regulatory conditions for all market participants. The Roadmap is synchronized with the official screening of Ukrainian legislation for compliance with EU law and will also be based on the National Program for the Adaptation of Ukrainian Legislation to European Union Law (EU acquis).
The survey results will help to make the plan as close as possible to the realities of Ukrainian business and identify potential risks regarding the timing of implementation of European legislation.
The Roadmap for EU Integration of the Ukrainian Dairy Sector is being developed by the European Integration Committee of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine (SMPU) in partnership with the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AVM) with the support of:
• Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sectors in Ukraine”(QFTP) implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland);
• Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
