On May 6, 2023, representatives of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, and the QFTP program team visited organic market operator – organic farm First organic nursery, LLC (Organic Garden TM). Company is located in Raynova village, Lviv region and has 9 hectares of drip irrigated organic land, 2 greenhouses for seedlings and tomatoes. Organic Garden has been working in organic production since 2017 and grow certified organic products: red basil, basil, eggplant, hot pepper, zucchini, asparagus beans, coriander (cilantro), dill, mint, raspberry, red carrot, cucumber, annual pepper, parsley, lettuce, small-fruited strawberry, tomato, cherry tomato, zucchini, garlic.
With the financial support of the Swiss-Ukrainian programs “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP) and Organic Trade for Development in Eastern Europe (OT4D) within the Grant Program “Support of organic sector in Ukraine” company has received funds for the continuation of certification of organic production, the purchase of a 100-liter boiler, bottles for packing wild mushrooms (mushrooms), the development and purchase of a new label for all products, to launch an online store, organic seeds for the 2023 season and promoting the Organic Garden brand on Facebook.
Thanks to the grant program, in May 2023 the company launched its own online store of organic products of various brands with delivery in Lviv. In addition, it became a participant in the Lviv Taste Fair.
