The Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (hereinafter – the Program) has launched a series of online on-the-job trainings aimed at effective interaction between the regulator and business associations and policy dialogue development. The target audience includes the members of the Working Group to improve the regulation and state control of raw milk production for placement on the market, namely, representatives of dairy FBOs and central executive authorities.
Iryna Vysotska, Dairy Sector Component Coordinator, welcomed the participants: “With these trainings we do not only aim to build a new quality vision of effective interaction with the Ministry and other regulators, but also, through practical training, to improve those draft regulations that we have worked on within the Working Group in recent months”.
The main aim of the online trainings is development and training of private business associations as self-governing organizations through capacity building for effective policy dialogue implemented through establishment and operation of the Working Group to improve the regulation and state control of raw milk production for placement on the market.
Manuel Airapetov, Program External Consultant, introduced the participants to the principles of the state regulatory policy and approaches to effective interaction between public authorities and general public. The participants also learnt how to identify and measure regulatory problems and address them. At the end of the first day of the training the participants were given homework.
These events are organized with support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Program “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
