On January 31, 2020, the Organic Berry Business: CHALLENGES 2019 – PERSPECTIVES 2020 Сonference supported by Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Program “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (hereinafter – the Program) successfully took place in Kyiv. The main event of the organic berry industry was held as part of the International Berry Forum S-FRUIT TRANSFORMATION and gathered about 100 participants.
During the welcoming speech, Igor Kravchenko, Local Program Manager, spoke about the goals, main activities, and objectives of the Program and stressed the importance of the capacity building of the key partners.
The conference was organized by the Ukrainian Berries Association, Organic Business School, and national certification body Organic Standard Ltd. The participants of the conference had the opportunity to get analytical data of the past season from local and international experts, up-to-date information on trends, news, discuss business problems in the organic berry market and development prospects in 2020.
