Finding up-to-date information on organic production has become easier thanks to the updated articles on Wikipedia

In order to provide Internet users with reliable and up-to-date information about the organic sector, the existing articles were updated and new articles on the organic sector were created in both Ukrainian and English on Wikipedia in June 2024.

Wikipedia, globally known as the largest online encyclopedia, is one of the leading sources of information for millions of users. From now on, when you search for information on “organic production”, “certification of organic products” or “organic market in Ukraine”, you will immediately come across the relevant articles on Wikipedia, as they are among the first to appear in the search results.

The updated articles contain information on the key aspects of Ukrainian legislation on the organic production, circulation and labelling of organic products. They are based on official data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Organic Standard certification body, the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) and IFOAM – Organics International. These materials provide consumers and stakeholders with the latest information on organic production.

The list of new and updated articles includes:

  1. Organic market in Ukraine (Ukr. Органічний ринок в Україні)
  2. List of countries with organic agriculture regulation (Ukr. Законодавство в галузі органічного сільського господарства)
  3. Organic farming (Ukr. Органічне виробництво)
  4. Organic food (Ukr. Органічні продукти)
  5. Organic certification (Ukr. Сертифікація органічних продуктів).

This initiative was implemented jointly with OrganicInfo.ua within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Program “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP), funded by Switzerland and implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
