From 4 to 8 October, one of the world’s largest international food and beverage trade fairs Anuga 2025 took place in Cologne, Germany. Every two years, the event brings together producers, distributors, importers, and buyers from across the globe, serving as a key international platform for fostering business partnerships and expanding cooperation in the food industry.
This year’s Anuga set a new record in terms of participation: more than 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries showcased their products, while 145,000 visitors from over 190 countries explored the showcased products. For the first time in its history, more than 100 Ukrainian exporters presented the potential of Ukraine’s agri-food sector to the global market.
With the support of Switzerland within the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP) together with partners, two National Stands of Ukraine were organised, one dedicated to organic products and another — to dairy, bringing together Ukrainian exporters from these sectors. Both stands were organised by the State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” and the national project Diia.Business under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
Within the National Stand of Ukraine with organic exporters, 7 companies presented a wide range of certified organic products, including frozen berries, juice concentrates, dairy products, instant cereals and soups, flakes, groats, freeze-dried berries, fruit and vegetable snacks, nuts, children’s breakfast cereals, and a selection of organic snacks — crisps, grissini, and crispbreads.
Ukrainian organic exporters held over 450 B2B meetings with potential partners from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea and other countries.
In addition, 11 Ukrainian exporters took part in the special exposition — the Anuga Organic Supermarket: 5 companies from the National Stand and 6 from the individual stands. Altogether, 37 Ukrainian organic value-added products were presented. On the shelves styled as a modern organic supermarket, visitors could see both traditional and innovative products: cereals, snacks, dairy products, freeze-dried fruits, flour, groats, and baby food.
Two Ukrainian organic companies represented at the National Stand: Panfruit Ukraine LLC (Panfruit) and Brain Box LLC (Hroom Room) were selected for the prestigious Anuga Taste Innovation Show, which highlights the most innovative products and industry trends. A total of 603 companies from 53 countries submitted their products for inclusion in the exposition. The international jury recognised the products distinguished by their concept, sustainability, market potential, and creative presentation. As a result, 62 innovative products were selected from more than 1,900 applications. The Ukrainian brand Panfruit was ranked among the Top 10 innovations, demonstrating a modern approach of Ukrainian companies to producing higher value added products, as well as their creativity and strong competitiveness.
At the Anuga Organic on Stage forum, a platform where leading experts discuss organic market trends, Oleksii Grushetskyi, Acting Director of the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, spoke about the transformation of Ukraine’s organic sector amid the full-scale war and the resilience of Ukrainian businesses striving to maintain their positions on international markets.
The National Stand of Ukraine with dairy exporters brought together 7 Ukrainian companies, including both new participants and those who had already exhibited at Anuga 2023. All seven companies are authorised to export to the EU countries. They showcased a wide variety of dairy products: butter, condensed milk, whole milk products, hard and processed cheeses, whey, milk powder, cheese snacks, and infant milk formulas and cereals.
As a result of their participation, Ukrainian dairy exporters conducted over 720 B2B meetings with partners from Europe, Brazil, the UAE, South Korea, Chile, India, Japan, Singapore, the USA, Israel, and several African countries.
Two dairy companies from the National Stand, Dubnomoloko LLC (KOMO) and Prime Snack LLC (snEco), were presented at the Anuga Taste Innovation Show, confirming the high level of innovation within Ukraine’s dairy sector.
In addition, Ukrainian dairy products were showcased at the Anuga Halal Market — a new themed platform for halal products, reflecting the growing global demand for certified halal goods.
Participation in Anuga 2025 marked another important step in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in entering international markets and expanding the global presence of Ukrainian higher value-added products.
