On 3 and 4 April 2024, representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, together with Ukrainian experts involved in the adaptation of Ukrainian organic legislation, held working meetings to discuss various issues and best practices for implementing EU organic legislation from the Czech Republic and Poland.
The aim of these events was to better understand the practical aspects of implementing EU legislation and to apply the knowledge gained to adapt Ukrainian organic legislation to the relevant EU regulation.
This exchange of experience with the EU countries not only contributes to the European integration process and the adaptation of Ukrainian organic legislation, but also to the establishment of cooperation between Ukrainian experts and experts from Poland and the Czech Republic.
The Q&A sessions were initiated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and organised with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian program “Higher Value Added Trade Development in the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP), implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
Such initiatives provide an important platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge necessary for the further development and successful implementation of Ukrainian organic legislation.
