International Organic Trade Fair “BioFach 2022”
The 33rd International Organic Trade Fair “BioFach 2022” will take place from July 26 till July 29, 2022, in Nuremberg (Germany).
Last year the event was held online, but still gathered more than 13,000 registered participants from 136 countries, including Ukraine. Thus, 22 Ukrainian organic companies presented their organic products at the exhibition.
Despite the current situation with the military aggression of the russian federation, the Ukrainian organic products will be presented on the National Ukrainian Pavilion “Organic Ukraine Business Hub”, which will cover an area of 136 square meters.
The National Ukrainian Pavilion is organized by the Organic Ukraine NGO in partnership with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” and with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Swiss-Ukrainian programs “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” and “Organic Trade for Development in Eastern Europe” (OT4D), and the project “German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Agriculture” (COA).
The Ukrainian official delegation will also visit the exhibition. In particular, the representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” will participate in the events within the framework of the International Organic Trade Fair “BioFach 2022”. The objectives of the official delegation’s participation are the presentation of Ukraine at the international level, providing the international community with up-to-date information on the current situation in the organic sector of Ukraine and export possibilities of the Ukrainian organic producers during the war, participation in working meetings and building long-term partnerships with policy makers from other countries, international organisations and organic stakeholders, promoting the export of the Ukrainian organic products, consideration of value chains of organic agricultural products for further development of the organic sector in Ukraine.
All over the world the demand for organic products is growing every year, that’s why the activities to promote organic production with sharing experience and establishing the international cooperation are so relevant.
