From 17 to 21 October 2026, six Ukrainian dairy producers participated in the international SIAL Paris trade fair in France. Their participation was made possible through the joint support of the organisers of the Ukrainian National Stand and Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP).

SIAL Paris is one of the world’s largest international food and beverage trade fairs, held every two years and attracting approximately 285,000 visitors from more than 200 countries.

The Ukrainian National Stand brought together six companies:

1. Lubenskiy molochniy zavod, LLC (TM GARMONIJA), Poltava region

2. Organic Milk, LLC (ТМ Organic Milk), Zhytomyr region

3. Pervomaiskyi molochnokonservnyi kombinat, PrJSC (ТМ Voloshkove Pole), Cherkasy region

4. Radyvylivmoloko, LLC (ТМ RADYMO), Rivne region

5. Ruzhyn-moloko, SC (ТМ RUMO), Zhytomyr region

6. Khorol Infant Nutrition Factory, LLC (ТМ MALUTKA), Poltava region

Ukrainian exhibitors showcased a wide range of dairy products, including butter, condensed and powdered milk, processed cheese, cream cheese, cottage cheese, yoghurt, sour cream, fresh dairy products, dairy desserts, ice cream, as well as infant formula and cereals.

During the exhibition, Ukrainian producers presented their products to international buyers and held more than 300 B2B meetings with potential partners from Europe, North America, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. The participants presented their export offers and discussed potential supply arrangements and opportunities for cooperation with international traders, processing companies, distributors and retail chains.

Participation in SIAL Paris also enabled Ukrainian companies to explore current trends in the global dairy market, new product developments and the requirements of international buyers. The business contacts established and the outcomesof the negotiations create opportunities for further developing export partnerships and expanding the presence ofUkrainian dairy products in international markets. For Lubenskiy Molochniy Zavod and Radyvylivmoloko, this was their first participation in SIAL Paris, while the other companies already had experience showcasing their products at international trade fairs. For some producers, the exhibition created opportunities to establish new business contacts, while for others it provided a platform to continue negotiations and strengthen cooperation with existing partners.

A distinctive feature of this year’s participation was the location of the Ukrainian National Stand directly in the dedicated dairy pavilion at SIAL Paris. Unlike in previous years, when Ukrainian companies exhibited their products in other thematic pavilions, this time they had the opportunity to showcase their products alongside international dairy producers and establish direct contacts with specialised buyers, distributors and representatives of retail chains.

Potential partners from Canada, Singapore, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Bulgaria, Norway, Malta, Moldova, Georgia, Libya, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and other countries expressed interest in Ukrainian dairy products.

The Ukrainian National Stand was visited by Alexander Anton, Secretary General of the European Dairy Association (EDA), and Vadym Omelchenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to France. They learned about the products offered by Ukrainian manufacturers, met with company representatives and expressed support for their efforts to promote Ukrainian products in international markets.

An important tool for promoting Ukraine’s dairy sector was the Ukrainian Dairy Exporters Catalogue, prepared for the first time for SIAL Paris 2026 by the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine and the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, with the support of QFTP.

The publication provides information on 31 Ukrainian companies and 45 production facilities. The catalogue aims to help international buyers better understand the capabilities of Ukraine’s dairy sector, identify potential suppliers and establish direct contacts with producers.

Support for the participation of Ukrainian dairy producers in SIAL Paris 2026 is part of Switzerland’s consistent efforts to develop the trade potential of Ukraine’s dairy sector and marked the final activity under Phase II of the Programme.

“QFTP co-financed the participation of Ukrainian dairy producers in leading international trade fairs, including ANUGA, SIAL and Gulfood. It was important for us to help small and medium-sized enterprises establish a presence at international trade fairs, develop export contacts and, at the same time, apply a rotational approach to ensure that as many producers as possible had the opportunity to present their products to international buyers. Overall, 12 Ukrainian dairy companies received support from the Programme. Regular participation in leading trade fairs helps increase the international visibility of Ukraine’s dairy sector and expand export opportunities,” said Iryna Vysotska, Deputy Local Manager and Dairy Sector Component Coordinator of QFTP.

Ukraine’s dairy sector is demonstrating growing export potential. According to expert estimates, dairy exports increased by 19% in 2025, exceeding 700,000 tonnes in raw milk equivalent, representing approximately 20% of the total volume of raw milk delivered for processing. In value terms, exports rose by 35%, reaching approximately USD 460 million.

The European Union remains one of the key export destinations, accounting for approximately 36% of Ukraine’s dairy exports in value terms, or nearly USD 170 million.

The National Stand of Ukraine is organised by the State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” (EEPO, Ukraine), the national project Diia.Business, under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and with the support of Switzerland within the framework ofthe Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP), implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
